Sibur starts to build 195 bln rbl polypropylene plant in Siberia

TOBOLSK, Tyumen Region, Aug 25 (PRIME) -- Russian petrochemical company Sibur started to build a 195 billion ruble polypropylene plant in Tobolsk in Siberia on Friday.

"The preliminary project price estimate stands at 195 billion rubles. It will use the existing infrastructure of ZapSibNeftekhim as much as possible," Sibur said.

The launch is slated for 2027 and the capacity is planned at 570,000 tonnes.

The new plant will raise Sibur’s capacity in Tobolsk by 50% to 1.5 million tonnes.
